SENIORS INVITED TO BELMONT EXPO ON OCTOBER 2

September 23, 2019

Up to 300 people are expected to attend my biggest seniors’ expo of the year, at Belmont 16s on Wednesday, October 2, from 10am to 12.30pm.

The expos always prove popular for seniors and their families to learn about benefits and services available to them, as well as positive ageing in our community.

Speakers will include Suzanne Dean, from NSW Fair Trading, who will talk about how to avoid scams, and solicitor Terry Morgan, of Baker Love Lawyers, who will talk about estate planning and setting up power of attorney and enduring guardianship.

Yasmin Catley, the State Member for Swansea and Deputy Leader of NSW Labor, will join me for a question and answer session.

You will have the chance to have your blood pressure checked, and enjoy a performance by the Sing Australia Belmont Choir.

The expo will feature 20 stallholders, including:

Baptistcare, Southern Cross Care Caves Beach, Bolton Clarke home support services, Computerpals for Seniors Newcastle, Revitalife, Hearing Australia, Lions Eye Health Program, Hunter Water Corporation, Telstra, National Broadband Network (NBN), Lake Macquarie City Council, Meals on Wheels, Seniors Rights Service, Windale Men’s Shed, The Place Charlestown Community Centre, San Remo Neighbourhood Centre, Belmont Neighbourhood Centre, Eastlakes U3A, Australian Unity, Aspire for Kylie, NSW Fair Trading and.
